TIP
After you select this setting, the program display will reappear if you don’t perform any operation for a while. By
pressing the snd button you can immediately return to the program display.

8. fnc (function) button
Repeatedly press the fnc button to select one of the Setup
menu items so that its value can be adjusted.
TIP
Hold down the snd button while pressing the fnc
button to step through the Setup menu items in reverse
order.
9. BPM (tempo) indicator
The BPM (tempo) indicator will flash in time to the current
tempo.
10. Power button
The Power button turns the kaossilator On and Off. Please
refer to the “Turning the kaossilator 2S On and Off” section.

12. Volume buttons
Use these Volume buttons to adjust the volume of the
headphones or the internal speaker. By operating this when
the mic is enabled, you can adjust the volume of the input
sound.

15. Internal speaker
The sound created by your kaossilator 2S performance can be
enjoyed through the internal speaker, or through headphones.
Connecting headphones to the PHONES jack will mute the
internal speaker.
TIP
For some programs, the volume might be low or
difficult to notice.
16. Lock button
Pressing lock button will release the back cover so that
batteries and memory cards can be installed. Please refer to
the “Opening the Cover” section.
1. Internal mic
The kaossilator 2S can record sounds using the Internal
microphone, and is controlled by the mic on/off button.
TIP
To avoid feedback, the internal speaker
automatically mutes when using the Internal
microphone.
2. Display
The OLED screen shows the selected program, tempo, and
other information. The lower section functions as the slider
guide.
3. snd (sound) button
Press the snd button to recall the Program Select screen.
4. arp (arpeggiator) button and indicator
Use the arp button to turn the arpeggiator on and off, and to
access the arpeggiator parameters. The indicator will be lit
when the arpeggiator is in use, or when the settings are being
adjusted. Please refer to the “Using the Arpeggiator” section
for additional information on this feature.
5. mic on/off button
Use this button to control the Internal mic, or any mic
connected to the MIC IN jack. Press the mic on/off button to
enable the mic; the Mic Enable icon will appear in the screen.
Press the mic on/off button a second time to disable the mic
(icon disappears). Hold the mic on/off button while using the
Volume buttons to set the input level.
6. VALUE slider
The VALUE slider offers fingertip program selection or
parameter editing. Stroking the slider with your finger will
smoothly change the value. To change the value in one-step
increments, tap either end of the slider.
Use only your fingertip to operate the VALUE
slider; do not use a hard or sharp object. The slider
may not work if you attempt to use it with an object
other than your finger, or while wearing gloves.
7. Touchpad
The touchpad provides fingertip performance control of the
kaossilator 2S. Please refer to the “Playing and Performing
Using the Touchpad” section for details.

Commandes

changer la valeur par unités, tapez sur une des extrémités du
curseur.
Utilisez uniquement le bout d’un doigt pour glisser sur le
curseur de réglage. N’utilisez jamais d’objet dur ou tranchant. Il se
pourrait que le curseur ne réponde pas si vous tentez de le
manipuler avec un objet ou si vous portez des gants.
7. Pad tactile
Le pad tactile vous permet de jouer sur le kaossilator 2S en
glissant ou tapant un doigt. Pour en savoir plus, voyez la section
“Jouer avec le pad tactile”.
8. Bouton fnc (fonction)
Le bouton fnc permet de choisir les options du menu Setup
pour régler les paramètres.
ASTUCE
Maintenez enfoncé le bouton snd en appuyant sur le
bouton fnc pour passer en revue les options du menu Setup
dans l’ordre inverse.
9. Témoin BPM (tempo)
Le témoin BPM (tempo) clignote au tempo actuel.
10. Interrupteur d’alimentation
Le bouton Power sert à mettre le kaossilator 2S sous tension/
hors tension. Pour plus de détails, lisez la section “Mise sous/
hors tension du kaossilator 2S”.
11. Bouton new
Voyez les sections “Effacer partiellement une phrase
enregistrée” et “Effacer toute une phrase”.
12. Boutons de volume
Utilisez ces boutons pour régler le volume du casque ou du
haut-parleur interne. Quand le microphone est actif, ces boutons
permettent de régler son niveau d’entrée.

15. Haut-parleur interne
Vous pouvez écouter les sons produits par vos manipulations
du kaossilator 2S via son haut-parleur interne ou un casque.
Quand vous branchez un casque à la prise PHONES, le son du
haut-parleur interne est coupé.
ASTUCE
Certains programmes peuvent avoir un volume fort
bas, voire inaudible.
16. Bouton de déverrouillage
Appuyez sur le bouton de déverrouillage pour libérer le cache
arrière de l’instrument et installer les piles et une carte de
mémoire. Pour plus de détails, lisez la section “Ouvrir le
boîtier”.

Bouton de déverrouillage
1. Micro interne
Le kaossilator 2S vous permet d’enregistrer les sons autour de
lui grâce à son microphone intégré. Un interrupteur permet
d’activer/de couper le microphone selon vos besoins.
ASTUCE
Pour éviter le Larsen (ce sifflement désagréable), le son
du haut-parleur intégré est automatiquement coupé quand vous
activez le micro de l’instrument.
2. Écran
L’écran indique le programme sélectionné, le réglage de tempo
ainsi que d’autres informations. La partie inférieure de l’écran
fait office de guide pour le curseur.
3. Bouton snd (son)
Appuyez sur le bouton snd pour afficher la page d’écran de
choix de programme.
4. Bouton et témoin arp (arpégiateur)
Utilisez le bouton arp pour activer/couper l’arpégiateur et
accéder aux paramètres de l’arpégiateur. Le témoin est allumé
quand l’arpégiateur est actif ou durant le réglage de ses
paramètres. Pour en savoir plus, voyez la section “Utilisation de
l’arpégiateur”.
5. Bouton mic on/off
Ce bouton commande le micro interne de l’instrument ou un
micro connecté à sa prise MIC IN. Appuyez sur le bouton mic
on/off pour activer le micro. «Mic Enable» s’affiche alors à
l’écran. Une nouvelle pression sur le bouton mic on/off coupe le
micro (l’indication disparaît). Pour régler le niveau d’entrée du
micro, maintenez le bouton mic on/off enfoncé et utilisez les
boutons de volume.
6. Curseur de réglage
Le curseur de réglage permet de choisir les programmes et de
modifier les paramètres d’un simple glissement du doigt. Il
suffit de glisser un doigt sur le curseur pour produire un
changement fluide et continu de la valeur. Pour changer la
