OPERATION
DANGER: Make sure you use oil that is fresh, clean and suitable for a
fondue. Old, used may ignite event a low temperatures. Should the oil
catch fire during the fondue, do not try to put it out with water under
any circumstances. Smother the fire with a saucepan lid of appropriate
size or a woolen blanket.
WARNING! The stainless steel pot, splash guard and found forks be-
come very hot during a found. Make sure you protect your hands, e.g.
with oven gloves, and only grasp the found forks by the handle.
- Risk of burns caused by splashes of hot liquid when dipping food into
the pot: dry food off beforehand and protect hands and forearms with
oven gloves.
- The stainless steel pot should not be filled beyond the maximum filling
level marking to prevent it from overflowing during heating.
1. Add either oil or stock to the pot depending on the intended use. The
filling quantity is restricted to the two filling level markings in the pot.
2. Place the splash guard on the pot.
3. Turn the temperature controller to MAX to heat the contents of the
pot. The appliance will now heat uo until the selected temperature is
reached. A built in thermostat will switch the appliance back on auto-
matically when the temperature drops.
TIP: The temperature controller allows you to freely select a lower tem-
perature after initially heating up to the pot. This is advisable, for exam-
ple in order to keep the temperature of the contents at just boiling point.
4. Push the dried pieces of food onto the found forks and place in the
il or stock.
5. Take the found forks out when the food has cooked as dar as you
requiere.
6. At the end of the found switch the temperature controller to 0, un-
plug the appliance and wait until all parts have cooled down before
starting cleaning.
