6.11 UGM - Universal Graphics Module
The Kontron ETXexpress UGM Baseboard is the first evaluation baseboard using an Universal Graphics
Module directly on the backplane without a riser card and providing all UGM interfaces and functions.
Note: UGM is based on PCIexpress Graphics. Only COMexpress modules with PEG are compatible to UGM
6.11.1 UGM DVI-I Connector A&B (J209, J210)
According to the UGM Specification a Universal Graphics Module supports 2 TMDS connections. Use DVI-I
Connector A (J209) connected to TMDS-A as default DVI connector. Depending on the graphics core a
secondary DVI-I connection (J210, connected to TMDS-B) is available.
Both DVI connectors are fully equipped DVI-I connectors with a digital and analog part. The standard
UGM CRT output (VGA-A) is connected to J209 and can be used with a standard DVItoVGA adapter. The
analog part on J210 (VGA-B) is shared with the
TV-out .
