Smart Extension Module

The 4 HP CP3003-SA provides an optional Smart Extension Module for facilitating the
connection to system-internal USB and SATA devices. The Smart Extension Module includes
one SATA cable connector as well as one USB 2.0 connector.

The Smart Extension Module is connected to the CP3003-SA via the board-to-board connector
J14 located on the CP3003-SA and the J1 extension connector located on the Smart Extension
Module.

If the Smart Extension Module is mounted on the CP3003-SA, the SATA Flash
module, the CP3003-HDD module or the CP3003-XMC module cannot be
used with the CP3003-SA.
