Procedure
1 Mount the baffle plates to the mounting frames.
Use moderate torque, and secure with Loctite 242.
The number of baffle plates depends on the length of the array
Note
The baffle plates must be installed with correct orientation!
There is a text and an arrow mark on every baffle plate to show the correct
orientation.
2 Mount the frames in the casings.
The mounting frames must be bolted onto the flat bars inside the casing. The
number of flat bars depends on the length of the transducer array. There are two (2)
holes in each flat bar. The frames are fastened by M16 socket cap screws. Use a
torque of approximately 180 Nm.
Bolts of grade A4-80 should be used.
Note
The RX frame must be installed with the correct orientation!
The correct orientation can be found by comparing transducer module drawings
with the frame drawings.
3 Check that the each frame is mounted completely flat.
Important
No point on the frame may deviate from the ideal plane with more than 1.6 mm.
The maximum allowed gradient between two adjacent mounting points is 0.1 %.
This can be checked by measuring the relative vertical positions of the module
mounting bars on the frames. If the deviations are too large, this has to be corrected
by applying shims.
The frame is installed completely flat.
4 Remove one bolt.
5 Apply Loctite 242 to the bolt.
6 Install the bolt using a torque of 180 Nm.
7 Repeat steps 4 - 6 for all the bolts.
