The following steps explain how to read exposed plate
images with this device .
CAUTION
• Make sure not to pinch your fingers while inserting the
cassette .
• If an X-ray generating device is positioned near this
device, do not emit X-rays while this device is operat
-
ing .

Prepare a cassette with an image reading
plate loaded .
If there is a memo between the cassette’s memo
clip, remove it . If there is a sticker etc . attached to
the cassette, remove it .
CAUTION
•
Only cassettes specially made for this device can be
used .
•
Make sure no dust or debris is on the cassette’s front
surface . If any is found, be sure to clean it off .
If any foreign materials are on this surface,
the plate may not eject properly, and images
may be taken unevenly.

age capture standby mode (click the CR
“Modality” button) .

Confirm that the device’s Ready Lamp
(green) is the only lamp that is lit .
CAUTION
• Confirm that the Erase Lamp (orange) is not blinking.
If it is blinking, it is in Image Erase Mode . In this case,
press the erase button, or wait up to 5 seconds with-
out inserting the cassette, and the device will return to
image read mode .

Insert the cassette in the cassette inser
-
tion slot .
CAUTION
•
Do not insert anything other than the cassette in the
cassette insertion slot . Doing so may cause a malfunc-
tion .
If a foreign object has fallen inside of the device, con
-
tact Konica Minolta technical representatives .
Position the back side of the cassette facing up-
ward, and slowly slide it into place, straight and all
the way to the back, in the direction of the arrow .
Insert so that
center-sections
match.
•
Image reading will begin once the Image pro-
cessing controller’s status is confirmed.
•
The Busy Lamp (blue) will blink while the Im-
age processing controller’s status is being con-
firmed.
•
The Busy Lamp is lit during the image reading
process .
HINT
•
When inserting the cassette before the Image pro-
cessing controller is in image capture standby mode,
changing the Image processing controller to image
capture standby mode will start the image capture pro-
cess .
