Connecting to an External Device
This instrument includes a USB port and a Bluetooth function (when the optional Bluetooth module is attached).
The supplied USB cable (IF-A17) can be used to connect the instrument to a PC, or the Bluetooth communication
function can be used to connect the instrument to a PC or a printer, allowing for data communication and printing.
Notes
When the instrument is exposed to strong external static electricity or is affected by ambient interference
during communication with an external device, the communication may be interrupted. In this case, turn the
power OFF and then turn it ON again.

Connecting to a Personal Computer
There are two methods for connecting the instrument to a PC: connecting using the USB cable or via the Bluetooth
function.
Notes
• To use the instrument’s Bluetooth function to connect to a PC with Bluetooth communication capabilities,
the CM-A219 Bluetooth module must be correctly connected to the instrument and a Bluetooth
communication channel must be opened through the PC’s utilities function.
• When connections using the USB cable and using Bluetooth communication are established, priority will be
given to the connection using the USB cable.
Memo
• When connected to a PC, the instrument enters the communication mode automatically. The LCD screen displays
or , and the measurement key/button and control keys are disabled.
• If a command to enable the measurement key/button is sent from the PC, measurement will be possible by
pressing the measurement key/button on the instrument. Note that, at this time, the measurement data is
transferred to the PC without being stored in the instrument memory.
• To connect the instrument to a PC, use of software that enables connection and operation of the instrument is
recommended.
