Give a single wrapping of the wire around the
encoder.

See Step 12 to fix the other front edge of the wire
using the wire presser plate in the second front
side.

1 screw (M4 x 8)

See Step 10 to slightly tighten the tension in the
wire.

Move the holding plate back and forth three times
or more to warm up the wire wrapping.

See "6.4 Adjust Wire Tension (Page 6-10)" to
adjust the wire tension.

Rotate the shaft clockwise and move the push
plate unit slightly toward the first front side
following the instruction in
Step 3 .

Install the wire cover that was removed in Step 6 .

Move the push plate unit to the read position.

Now, you have finished with the procedures to replace the encoder or wires.

Follow the descriptions in the figure to wrap.
Note
If the tension in the wire is left loosen, the
wire may be disconnected from the encoder
while warming up the wrapping (
Step 26
).
Caution

Do not drop the wire cover on the wire.
•
Keep the wire cover away from the
magnet shaft.
