and send the result to the radar. The radar software will indicate the AIS target symbol and data
on the radar screen.
(3) CPU system
The UPD784031, U4 is the CPU for AIS system. The AIS software is stored in the program
memory, U8, and working with memories, U9. The program memory with socket is a "Flash
memory”.

Log interface
U34,Q11
The power supply is designed to regulate the +5 V output voltage controlled by "e. regulator" circuit.
The feedback signal from +5 V line is detected through U30. The error amplifier and switching duty
control performed by U26. The controlled power from regulator circuit is switched by Q9, Q10and
Q14 to drive the main transformer, T1. RT1 is over current protect device. It call poliswitch.
Log Pulse
Main logic request gyrocompass and log data through bus interface circuit.
S1 to S3 and Reference for gyro compass signal are isolated by photo coupler,U23,U24 andU34
.
S1 to S3 and REF
signal
convert to 5V logic signal by comparator U32,4069U. S1 to S3 signal
are compared with REF by U3,VHC86. Then Compared S1 to S3 signal refer to U9,CPU. CPU
take in phase information of S1 to S3 and calculate gyrocompass direction by CPU. LOG pulse
signal from speed LOG convert to 5V logic signal by Q11 and U34. Converted LOG signal take in
interrupt pin of CPU and calculate LOG speed by CPU.

(1) Monitor operation
The Processor unit has a monitor operation function. When use this Processor unit for a monitor,
set the Processor function mode by Dipswitch S1-6 on Logic PCB E47-700*. The display unit will
restart and work for a radar monitor.
The input signal for the monitor operation is shown in Table-2.5.
