Cymbal protocol
Cymbal is the acoustic protocol used both for positioning of subsea transponders in
SSBL/LBL mod and data communication to and from transponders. It uses Direct
Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) signals.
There are 10 wide band carrier frequencies with 56 unique codes. The bandwidth of each
band is 4 kHz. There are 560 unique channels in total.
