After the cleaning, press the dust indicator button to reset it.
If the yellow piston enters the red (7.5 kPa {0.076 kg/cm
2
}) po-
sition soon after the cleaning, the element must be replaced.
Electric air cleaner clogging sensor
Clean the air cleaner element when the yellow piston of dust in-
dicator (1) display enters the red (7.5 kPa {0.076 kg/cm
2
}) posi-
tion or the air cleaner clogging caution lamp (2) of the machine
monitor lights up.
METHOD FOR CLEANING AIR CLEANER OUTER ELEMENT
NOTICE
• Never remove the inner element. Dusts may enter causing the engine failure.
• Do not use damaged element. Do not use the removed inner element more than once. Make sure to
replace the inner element when you replace the outer element.
• Keep new elements dry.
1.
Stop the engine.
2.
Remove the clips (1) (12 places) and remove the cover
(2).
3.
Hold the outer element (3), rock it lightly up and down and
to the right and left, and pull the outer element (3) out
while turning it to the right or left.
4.
When outer element (3) is removed, check that inner ele-
ment (4) does not come off or incline.
If it is at an angle, push it straight to the bottom with your
hand.
5.
After removing the outer element (3), cover the inner ele-
ment (4) with a clean cloth or tape to prevent dirt or dust
from entering.
6.
Clean the dust sticking inside the air cleaner body (5) and on the cover (2) by using a clean cloth or brush.
