5. Install the Handles
Complete the finished wall.
Remove and discard the plaster guards.
Apply a ring of plumbers putty or other sealant around the edge
of the escutcheons according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Install the escutcheons over the threaded sleeves.
Align the escutcheons on the wall.
Turn the threaded sleeves into the valve bodies.
Carefully remove any excess putty or sealant from around the
escutcheons.
Install the handles.
