Section 6 Disassembly/Reassembly
4. Use a puller or slide hammer to remove the end
bracket. The end bracket has two 1/4 in. threaded
holes, four inches apart, for use with an adapter
bar. See Figure 6-2.
5. Remove the 4 socket head screws that secure the
stator. See Figure 6-3.
6. Grasp the stator firmly. Pull straight out to prevent
damage to the stator laminations. See Figure 6-4.
7. Loosen the thrubolt. See Figure 6-5.
8. Loosen the rotor/fan assembly by lightly tapping on
alternate sides with a rubber mallet. Use only a
rubber mallet to prevent damage to the bolt.
9. Remove the thrubolt and rotor.
