1.7 Remove the controller. Save the hardware and
gasket to remount the controller into the sound
shield’s controller panel later in step 11.1.
1.8 Position the generator set onto the sound shield
base (GM89551) and secure the set with 6 bolts
(X-6238-3
or
X-6238-11)
and
6 washers
(X-25-37). See Figure 2.
For UMS Kit GM90679-KP2 only:
Install two
base plates (GM90745) onto sound shield base
(GM89551).
