4 Descriptions
4.1 Description of Instrument Controls

1. Power Switch. This switch controls the
power to the entire unit. When the power
switch is in the on position, the digital
temperature controller and test control panel
are powered on.
2. Lamp Switch. This switch controls turning
On and Off the lamp for illuminating the test
samples. This function available only after
power switch is turned on.
3. Temperature Controller. The temperature
controller regulates the bath temperature for
the test procedure. Please refer to section
4.2 for full operational details.
4. Test Control Panel. The test control panel
regulates the test parameters and stirrer
paddle activation. Please refer to section
4.3 for full operational details.
5. Heating Bath: Stainless Steel Bath with
clear tempered glass front viewing window
for stabilizing the bath temperature to
desired setting within ± 0.05°C.
6. Cylinder Ports: The test cylinder is placed
into the heating bath through one of the
seven (7) cylinder ports.
7. Stirrer Assembly: Ensure the stirrer is in
the upper position and move the entire
stirrer assembly left or right to align with one
of the seven test positions. Once aligned
with desired position, slide stirrer shaft
downwards into the glass test cylinder. Be
sure the notches of the stirrer shaft handle
align with the groves on top of the stirrer
assembly.
8. Stirrer Shaft Handle. For sliding the stirrer
shaft to the upper standby position or lower
test position
WARNING: For safety, disconnect the
power when performing any maintenance and/or
cleaning.
Do NOT remove cover (bellow) while
instrument is energized!
4.2 Temperature Controller Operation

upper red LED display shows the
process temperature as read from the
RTD probe.
