6.2 MAINTENANCE
By following a careful service and maintenance program for your machine, you will enjoy many years of
trouble free operation.
Ensure all operators understand how to
put the machine in safe condition before working with this
machine,
• Flip main switch "off" or disconnect all loads
• Shut off the engine.
• Ensure all components have stopped moving.
• Remove and pocket the ignition key. (electric start only)
• Disconnect the battery.(electric start only)
Good maintenance is essential for safe, economical, and trouble free operation. It will also help reduce air
pollution.
To properly care for your generator, it is recommended to perform maintenance procedures on a regular
basis. other service tasks that are more difficult or require special tools are best handled by professionals
and are normally performed by your small engine technician or other qualified mechanic.
If you operate your generator under unusual conditions, such as sustained high-load or high-temperature
operation, or use it in dusty conditions, consult your service technician for recommendations applicable to
your individual needs and use.
Improper maintenance, or failure to correct a problem before operation, can cause a malfunction which
may void your warranty. Always follow the inspection and maintenance recommendations.
Remember that your service technician knows your generator best and is fully equipped to maintain and
repair it. To ensure the best quality and reliability, use only new, genuine parts for repair and replacement.
Genuine factory replacement parts must be used to restore your equipment to original specifications. The
manufacturer will not be responsible for injuries or damages caused by use of unapproved parts and/or
accessories.
6.2.1 GENERAL MAINTENANCE
on a regular basis check all nuts, bolts and screws and ensure they are all properly secured. Ensure the
machine is clean free of oil and fuel spills. Inspect fuel line connections between the engine and fuel tank.
