and is identifi ed with the symbol "Zapfsäule"
(gas pump).

Fuel recommendations
Use clean, fresh, lead-free normal gasoline with
a minimum octane rating of 87.
Buy fuel in amounts that can be used within 30
days (see storage).
Do not use gasoline containing methanol.
Do not mix gasolline with oil.
Oil recommendations
Motor oil is a critical factor for the motor's
performance and life expectancy. Use a motor oil
that satisfi es the requirements API service class SJ
(equals or exceeds).
Examine the API service label on the oil container so
that you are assured that it contains the letters SJ,
their equivalent or higher.
SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general use. The
recommended operating temperature range for this
motor is from -15°C to 40°C.

Check motor oil status while motor is stopped and
standing horizontally.
Remove the oil-fi lling pipe/dipstick and wipe clean.

Insert the dipstick into the oil-fi lling pipe, without turning

If the oil level lies near to or underneath the lower

fi ll-mark on the dipstick, fi ll the recommended oil to the
upper limit mark.
Fit in the oil-fi lling pipe/dipstick again.

Lower oil levels can result in motor damage.
