To check the blade balance (Fig. 17b):
Clamp a nail or a screwdriver with a round shank
in the horizontal position. Position the blade so
that the nail or round shank of the screwdriver
supports the blade through its center hole. Balance
the blade horizontally. If either end of the blade
rotates downward, remove some metal from the
heavier or lower end until the blade is balanced. It
is balanced when neither end drops.
WARNING
• An unbalanced blade will cause excessive
vibration when rotating at high speeds. It may
cause damage to the mower and could break,
causing personal injury.
18. Replacing the Wheels
WARNING
• Always remove the battery pack when servicing
or transporting the mower. We recommend
having this task carried out by an after-sales
service provider.
To remove the wheels
a. Turn the mower on its side with the upper
surface against a wall.
b. Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the dust
cover away from the wheel.
c. Use an adjustable or ½-inch (13mm) wrench to
turn the bolt counterclockwise to loosen it.
d.
For front wheels:
remove the bolt, the worn wheel, the wave washer, and flat washer from
the wheel axle (Fig. 18a).
e.
For rear wheel assembly
(including drive gear): remove the bolt, the worn wheel
assembly, the wave washer from the wheel axle (Fig. 18b).
To mount the wheels
a.
For front wheels:
mount the flat washer, the wave washer, the new wheel on the wheel
axle. Note that the round recess must face outward.
b.
For rear wheel assembly:
mount the wave washer, the new wheel assembly on the wheel
axle.
c. Secure the wheel assembly with the bolt by tightening the bolt clockwise.
d. Mount the dust cover onto the wheel and press it into place.
