CTE-5202 Applications Guide, AN0912A Rev. D

Fan Induction with 2-Stage Electric Heat

In this fan induction application, the CTE-5202

thermostat is used with a REE-500

relay module,

a fan, and two coils (for two stages of reheat). The

REE-5002 was designed primarily for use with VAV

fan-powered induction boxes.
If the temperature drops below setpoint, the REE-

5002 senses the decrease in voltage on AO2 and

starts the fan. As the temperature continues to drop,

the first stage of reheat begins, and the second stage

of reheat follows if the thermostat is still not satis

fied. The process reverses as the room temperature

begins to rise.
