SERVICE
Electronic self-diagnosis
The circuit boards perform continuous self-diagnosis. In the event of hardware faults or malfunctions
in the circuit board that could be dangerous for the end user, the device will assume “safe” mode, the
solenoid valves are deactivated and the display shows the relative fault code.
Generally, the default operating parameters are restored by disconnecting and reconnecting the
power supply. This action will resolve most problems.
If the fault persists, contact your nearest service
centre.
Fault types and codes are shown in the following table.
Indicated
ERROR
Fault type
Possible cause
Solution
b
Burner in lockout state (error
message appears on a
single
burner)
During the three ignition
attempts the flame
fails to ignite
Missed gas
Restore gas supply and
procede with burner
unlocking operation
Failed connection of
corrisponding valve
connector to the PCxF
device.
Check wiring of valve cables
and procede with burner
unlocking operation
Defective modulating
valve
If the problem occurs on
all the burners, replace the
safety valve. If the problem
occurs on a single burner,
replace the corresponding
modulating valve.Procede
with burner unlocking
operation
Minimum flow rate of
burner is too low
Procede with burner
unlocking operation then
calibrate minimum flow rate
of burner
Burner in lockout state (error
message appears on a
single
burner)
During the three ignition
attempts the flame appears but
the burner fails to remain lit
Device isn’t connected
to earth
Check wiring and procede
with burner unlocking
operation
It is a FASE-FASE
network
It is necessary to use the
“AR1 Isolation transformer
for PCxF” kit. Procede with
burner unlocking operation
The ionization electrode
is dirty or overwhelmed
by the flame, or the
electrode has been
connected to another
burner
Clean or reposition the
electrode and procede with
burner unlocking operation.
Check wiring and procede
with burner unlocking
operation
Failed conductivity
between the head and
cup of burner due to
oxidation or dirt
Clean the burner and
procede with burner
unlocking operation
