5. Remarks in respect of the determined use
Before starting any work on electrical appliances it must be safeguarded that there are no live
parts in the immediate assembly area of the user. Is this not possible special precaution
measures acc. to EN 50110-1 for working near live parts must be provided.
5.1. Operation of the tool
First you have to check whether the piston is fully retracted. If necessary pull the retract slide
(Pos. 2, picture 2 Pos. B) in the direction of the arrow.
After positioning the cable/conductor into the open cutting blades if possible near the pivot the
cutting cycle is started by actuating the trigger (Pos. 1, picture 2 Pos. A). The cutting cycle is
characterized by the closing motion of the blades. The moveable blade (Pos. 7) approaches the
stationary blade (Pos. 4) scissor like being driven by the linear movement of the piston.
Attention
The cutting process can be interrupted at any moment by releasing the trigger.
By actuating the retract slide (Pos. 2, picture 2 Pos. B) the piston, respectively the moveable
blade returns into the starting position.
After reaching the max. operating pressure the piston, respectively the moveable blade (Pos. 7),
returns into their starting position automatically. In order to save battery capacity we
recommend to manually retract the piston after the cable/conductor is cut.
