BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Read and follow all instructions and save for reference.
2. Remove all packaging and labels.
3. Clean all parts, except Base, following instructions in the ‘Care and Cleaning’
section.
4. Wipe the Base with a damp cloth.
5. To reduce risk of shock hazard never immerse the base in water or any other liquid.
OPERATION
1. Remove the lid and the fi lter basket. Add the desired amount of cold water. Fill the
base up to the MAX mark on the water level indicator (approx. 6.5L).
2. Place the fi lter basket on the pump tube and insert both into the heating element
within the base to ensure proper pump operation.
3. Add about 1 tablespoon (~ 60 g/L) of coffee powder per cup to the fi lter basket.
For best results, we recommend using round fi lter paper (not included).
Note
: If you ONLY want to heat water, there must be no coffee powder in the fi lter
basket. The device is not suitable for heating cocoa or mulled wine.
4. Turn the lid clockwise until it clicks into place.
5. Make sure that the ON switch is set to OFF. Connect the cable. Press the power
switch to the ON position. The red heating light will illuminate to indicate the start of
the brewing cycle.
6. After brewing, the yellow KEEP WARM light will illuminate to indicate that the
contents are ready to serve. The contents are kept warm until the appliance is
switched off. While the appliance is being kept warm, you can hear sounds similar
to those of brewing, which is normal. The appliance does not brew, but only keeps
the contents warm. To enjoy the best taste, do not serve the coffee until the brewing
is fi nished.
Note
: Never operate the appliance empty. This may damage the heating element.
CAUTION
Risk of burns! When removing the basket (for cleaning or to dispose of
the coffee grounds after brewing), make sure that the basket and pump
tube are hot. Let the basket cool down before touching it.
