5.3 Emergency Alarm 

Under emergency, you can send an emergency alarm to another user or the 
control center by pressing the Emergency Alarm key. Emergency alarm has the 
highest priority, so you can send an emergency alarm at any time, no matter the 
radio is transmitting or receiving traffic. 

The radio supports three emergency alarm modes, and you can have one mode 
set by your dealer. 

 

Emergency Alarm Only 

In this mode, you can send an alarm message but cannot talk to a user or the 
control center by pressing the Emergency Alarm key. 

 

Emergency Alarm and Call 

In this mode, you can send an alarm message by pressing the Emergency Alarm 
key, and send voice and background tone by pressing the PTT key and talking into 
the microphone. 

 

Emergency Alarm Followed by Voice 

In this mode, you can send an alarm message by pressing the Emergency Alarm 
key, and send voice and background tone by talking into the microphone. You 
don

t need to press the PTT key.
