1. The brake and clutch pedals
should be inspected for free travel,
and smooth operation.
2. You should adjust these ped-
als if an incorrect measurement
is found. (See "adjusting clutch
and brake pedals" in the 100 hour
maintenance schedule.)

The coolant level is safest to inspect
when the engine is at room temper-
ature. After removing the radiator
cap, look into the top of the radiator
to check the coolant level. The level
should be close to the cop of the ra-
diator (approximately one inch below
the neck).
aDDinG cOOlant
For most applications, a mix of half
water and half antifreeze is recom-
mended. The mix required for your
area may be different. Be sure to
use clean, fresh water when mixing
with antifreeze. Refer to the specifi-
cations section for the correct type of
antifreeze. If the coolant requires re-
placement, refer to the how to ser-
vice subsection.

caUtiOn
Do not remove radiator cap
while coolant is hot. When
cool, slowly rotate cap to the
first stop and allow sufficient
time for excess pressure to es
-
cape before removing the cap
completely.

Brake pedals should be equal
when depressed.
