7. Set the hand throttle lever to the
“Slow” position. (In case of cold
weather you may adjust it to “Fast”
for easier starting)
8. depress the clutch pedal.
(It cannot be started while the
clutch is not depressed)

9. Insert the key into the key switch
and turn it “oN” and maintain it
until the preheat lamp is turned off
(approx. 8 sec.) in case the auto
pre-heating kit is equipped.
In case of the basic model, hold
the key in “d” (pre-heat) posi-
tion for several seconds for manu-
al pre-heat. during the same sec-
onds, the pre-heat lamp on the
dash board illuminates.

The glow plug lamp comes on
for 8 seconds and then goes off
when the key switch is turned to
the “Start” or “Stop” position.
The engine should be started
within 5 seconds after the glow
plug lamp goes off. After the en-
gine is started, post-heat is per-
formed for 15 seconds with the
key switch in the “oN” position.

The post-heating is a function
to keep the glow plugs activat-
ed for approx. 15 seconds af-
ter the engine is started in order
to enhance the engine combus-
tion performance and to reduce
harmful emissions right after en-
gine start.
NOTE
ing lamp and engine oil pressure
warning lamps come on when the
key is in “oN” position before the
engine start.
