F35BVC B-Vent Converter - Installation
This component will allow a direct vent fireplace to be vented like a B Vent fireplace.
Installation:
1. Apply Mill-Pac Sealant to outside of 4 inch flue on
fireplace.
2. Bend up lower portion of the Wiring Channel as shown
above. Ensure that it will be at the back of the fireplace.
3. Carefully push B-Vent Converter down onto the 4 inch
and 7 inch collars of the unit until fully seated.
4. Attach the B-Vent Converter with a Screw.
5. (Optional) Install a Decorative Collar Around the base of
the B-Vent Converter.
6. Route the wires through the hole in the back of the
fireplace top as shown above. Secure in place with the
supplied wire retainer and a DT screw. Connect wires
as shown in the diagram above.
7.
Attach Label wire and Wire Retainer to the bottom left
corner at the back of the fireplace. Store Label inside
pedestal base of fireplace.
DO NOT ALLOW LABEL TO TOUCH FAN.
The following test must be performed by the installer before
installation is complete.
1. Close all doors and windows in the room with the fireplace.
2. Turn on all exhaust fans and the furnace blower.
3. Turn on the fireplace.
Set burner flame to
high.
4. Wait for 10 minutes.
5. Check the chimney
draft with a smoke test
match at the top of the
slots in the B-Vent
Converter. There must
be adequate draft to
draw smoke into the
chimney.
