The following table shows the relationship between vertical and horizontal vent lengths and will help you to determine the
correct vent lengths for optimum stove performance.
How to use the Vent Table:
1. Determine the height of the system and the number of elbows required.
2. Use the Venting Chart to determine the maximum horizontal distance allowed.
Note:
For each 45° elbow installed in the
horizontal run, the length of the horizontal run
must be reduced by 18” (45 cm). This does not
apply if the 45° elbows are installed on the
vertical part of the vent system.
Note:
For each additional 90° elbow installed in
the horizontal run, the length must be reduced by
36” (90 cm). Maximum number of 90° elbows are
three per installation.
