ADJUSTMENTS & OPERATION

USING THE MAGNETIC SWITCH

This machine is equipped with a magnetic safety switch. To start the machine,

press the green “I” button (A) Fig.20. To stop the machine, press the red “O” button

(B). There is also an “EMERGENCY STOP” button (C), equipped with a twisting

lock-out function. Once engaged, this button will need to be rotated clockwise

before the machine will power on again. The coolant pump switch (D) is turned

on by rotating the knob clockwise to the “I” position. To stop the pump, rotate the

knob counterclockwise to the “O” position.

USING THE OVERLOAD PROTECTION SWITCH

This machine has a safety overload protection feature, which will cut the power to

the motor if the voltage or amperage spikes abnormally. If an electrical overload

occurs, there are several common causes:

1. Cutting thick or dense materials could overwork the motor, and cause a spike

in the amperage draw. Avoid forcing the saw to cut through such materials.

2. Not using an appropriate extension cord to power the machine. This could

cause a spike in amperage draw if the cord is too long, or not rated for the

proper capacity.

3. An overloaded circuit. Make sure the machine is connected to a circuit that is

capable of handling the amperage draw from this machine, as well as any other

devices that maybe drawing from the same circuit.

How to reset the overload protection switch:

1. Access the electrical panel by removing the four round head allen screws (A)

Fig.21 using a 3mm hex. key. Remove the electrical box cover (B).

2. Press  the  reset  button  (A)  Fig.22  to  reset  the  overload  protection  switch.

Reinstall  the  electrical  box  cover  before  attempting  to  start  the  machine.

3. If the machine still won’t start after resetting the overload protection switch,

check the three fuses (B) Fig.22. Replace if necessary with the appropriate

rated fuse(s).

Fuse ratings: FU1 = 1 Amp., FU2 = 1 Amp., FU3 = 2 Amp.

ADJUSTING THE SWIVEL bASE

1. Unlock the swivel base (B) Fig.23 by pushing the lever (A) towards the left.

2. Use the down feed handle to set the swivel base and the blade at the desired

angle, the swivel angle is displayed on the miter scale (C).

3. If the lever is not locking the base properly, loosen cap screw (D) underneath

the base with a 6mm hex. key, while holding the lever in place on its shaft.

4. Rotate the lever (E) to the right, then retighten cap screw (D). If the lever

doesn’t lock the swivel base, repeat steps 3-4.
