*Meets California efficiency requirements of 4000 grains exchanged per pound of salt used. Efficency is only certified
at the low salt dosage and was determined in accordance with NSF/ANSI 44.
**Manufacturer’s tested and verified rate- nt certified or verified by NSF or WQA
Sodium Information: Systems using sodium chloride for regeneration will add sodium to the water.
The amount of sodium added is proportionate to the amount of hardness removed. People who are
on sodium-restricted diets should consider the added sodium as part of their overall sodium intake.

Kinetico reverse osmosis systems will remove as much as 98 percent of sodium content in the water.
Using potassium chloride as a regenerant will not add sodium to the water.
Kinetico Water Softeners (Mach 2025s, 2030s, 2040s with Overdrive, 2060s, 2060s with
Overdrive, 2100s, 2100s with Overdrive, 2175s, 4040s with Overdrive and 4060s with
Overdrive) are tested and certified by NSF International and/or the WQA against the
requirements of NSF/ANSI Standard 44 for softener performance and chemical reduction of
barium and radium 226/228. The Kinetico 4060s/Macrolite® with Overdrive is tested and
certified by NSF International and/or the WQA against the requirements of NSF/ANSI
Standard 42 for Particulate Reduction Class III, 4060s/Carbon for chlorine reduction and
Standard 44 for softener performance and chemical reduction of barium and radium
226/228. NSF/ANSI International and/or the WQA certifies our product performance and
reviews our manufacturing facility and procedures to assure product consistency and integrity.
They also assure that our literature accurately reflects our product capabilities.
Certified Continuous Flow Rate as validated by NSF International represents continuous
service flow of water at 15 psi pressure drop and is not an indication of maximum flow rate
or unit limitation. U.S. Patents: 4,336,134; 4,579,242; 4,889,623; 4,972,877; 5,022,994;
