INSTALLATION
!! digitizor requires an aerial designed for the reception of DAB Band III signals
(available separately). The benefits of digitizor's high-sensitivity DAB chip will be lost
if you fit an inferior DAB aerial. For more information please refer to page 25
'ESSENTIAL INFORMATION ABOUT DAB CAR AERIALS' !!
DAB aerial installation and FM-RDS car radio operation / removal vary widely so when
necessary please refer to your DAB aerial's / car radio's / car's instruction manual.
To get your digitizor
up and running straight away, first decide which type of installation
you require. (It is recommended that you use (B) below as a quick test before
permanent installation.)
A) WIRED CONNECTION SET-UP
Choose this set-up if you want a full stealth (hidden) installation with wired connection.
Provides the easiest use, the most dependable connection, the highest sound quality and
near zero chance of interference from FM radio stations. Please go to page 9.
B) WIRELESS CONNECTION SET-UP #1
Choose this set-up if you have a quick-fit (e.g. Kinetic MagnetwiG or STIC) DAB aerial,
want to move digitizor often from car to car and don't mind a visible cable or two.
Please go to page 12.
C) WIRELESS CONNECTION SET-UP #2
Choose this set-up if you want a fully installed stealth installation with wireless
connection. (Unless you cannot use (A) above because it's difficult or impossible to
connect to your existing radio's FM/AM aerial connectors, there is little point in choosing
this option.) Please go to page 14.
