1) Assembly
Remove all of the vacuum components from the box and dispose of all the packaging materials
thoughtfully and as per your local council guidelines.
1. Insert the lower vacuum hose (2) connector into the vacuum hose inlet port (5) by pressing the
lower vacuum hose (2) connector into the vacuum hose inlet port (5) and rotate 1/4 turn in the
clockwise direction to secure the hose (fig 1).
2. Insert the upper vacuum hose (2) connector onto the top end of the metal
telescopic wand (13) (fig 2).
3. Attach either the wet or dry floor tool (10) or (26) onto the lower section of the metal
telescopic wand (13).
2) Floor Tools (10) or (26)
The KP704 50L Wet & Dry workshop Vacuum is supplied with two floor tools.
1. Wet Floor Tool (26): The wet floor tool (26) has a rubber squeegee on both the front and back
edge of the floor tool to assist in vacuuming up liquids (fig 3).
2. Dry Floor Tool (10): The dry floor tool (10) has a soft brush on both the front and back edge of the
floor tool to enable you to vacuum both hard surfaces such as concrete and softer surfaces such
as lino/vinyl or carpets (fig 4).
3a) Choosing The Correct Vacuum Filter
The KP704 50L Wet & Dry workshop vac comes with three filter types.
Foam Filter (22): The foam filter (22) can only to be installed when you are using
the vacuum to clean up spills or when water is present where you are vacuuming.
The foam filter (22) is designed to prevent water splash-back within the vacuum
tank (14) from entering the motor head (4) during operation.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE FOAM FILTER IN DRY VACUUMING APPLICATIONS.
Cloth Filter (20): The cloth filter (20) is of heavy duty construction with a particle
rating of 4 microns and can be installed for all general vacuuming applications
where water is not present. This cloth filter (20) can be continuously used for
many years as it is a cleanable & washable accessory.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE CLOTH FILTER IN WET VACUUMING APPLICATIONS.
3 Micron Filter Cartridge (23): The 3 Micron Filter Cartridge (23) is a cartridge
style filter with a partical rating of 3 microns and can be installed for all general
vacuuming applications where water is not present. This 3 Micron Filter Cartridge
(23) can be continuously used for many years as it is a cleanable accessory.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE 3 MICRON FILTER CARTRIDGE (23) IN WET VACUUMING
APPLICATIONS.
Note:
• The cloth filter (20) can be used in conjunction with the 3 Micron Filter Cartridge (23) at the same time to provide
additional filtration. Ensure that you clean the cloth filter (20) and 3 Micron Filter Cartridge (23) regularly for
optimal performance.
• Regular cleaning of the filter is required to maintain optimal suction of the vacuum.
• Failure to clean the filters regularly can lead to damage of the vacuum and or poor performance of the product.
• Premature failure of the product or poor performance of the vacuum due to not cleaning the filters is not covered
by the manufacturers warranty and can be considered abuse of the tool.
