FSM21 Front Switch Module
For connection to the FBM38 fieldbus module.

LED Settings
The green signal LEDs can be switched off individually (optional).
The setting is made using a DIP switch behind the front panel of the FSM21. The corresponding DIP switches are
arranged next to the LEDs.

Commissioning
Commissioning may only be carried out by qualified personnel, e.g. a commissioning
technician. The power must be disconnected from the switchboard.
Danger
Check the mounting, installation and device connections with the power disconnected from the FBM38 fieldbus
module and FSM21 front switch module.

The device description of the FBM38 fieldbus module must be observed here (Technical Data Sheet 2.50-30.038-
01-en).
– Assign macro 21 using the FSM selector switch .

Switch on the power supply and check the switching functions with the messaging and acknowledgement
functions of the FSM21 and FBM38 operating unit.
