FSM21 Front Switch Module 

For connection to the FBM38 fieldbus module.

acro Function 

The functions of the two 2 or 1-stage device controls are made by assigning macro 21 on the FBM38 fieldbus 

odule.

Using the macro function, relay outputs K1/K2 and K3/K4 are each controlled on the FBM38 with 2-stage control. 
Depending on the switch setting, the relays lock against each other or switch together. A mechanical limitation of the 
switch positions can be made by attaching switch stop rings (see the “Switch stop” section).

 load/rolling switch with different switching delays can be set in macro 21. 

Binary inputs 55/IN–58/IN on the FBM38 are defined as malfunction messages by the macro function, and are 

hown on the signal LEDs (1.3/1.4, 2.3/2.4) on the FSM21.

Depending on the operating mode set on the FBM38 (      /      ), the following is signaled by the signal LEDs (1.1/1.2, 

.1/2.2):

  Binary inputs 51/IN–54/IN as operating messages (“Remote” operating mode      ) 

  The status of relay outputs K1–K4 on the FBM38 (“Local” operating mode      )

2.50-30.038-02-en. Both of these are included with the FBM38
