T. Standard 5th Wheel
When adjusting the 5th wheel, consider the environmental obstacles that may be encountered. If
the 5th wheel caster touches the ground, it is possible that the large rear wheels might not touch
the ground. Always ensure enough clearance between the ground and the 5th wheel caster.
How to Use the Standard 5th Wheel
1. Inserting and Removing the Standard 5th Wheel
a. Press the two release buttons (Fig. 21:A) on the support tube so both buttons are drawn
inside.
b. Insert the assembly into the support tube receiver (Fig. 21:B).
c. Rotate the support tube down until the release pin buttons are positioned through the
receiver mounting holes.
2. Adjusting the Position from the Floor
a. The caster housing is adjustable within the support tube.
b. Remove the wing nut (Fig. 21:C) from the bolt holding the caster housing into the support
tube.
c. Slide the housing to the desired height and replace the bolt and secure the wing nut.
