Performance Quick Check
Preparation
1 Turn on the network analyzer and the LCA Test Set controller.
2 Allow the LCA Test Set Controller and the network analyzer to warm up
(60 minutes after the LCA software has been started).
3 If it is not already started, start the network analyzer application.
Consult the documentation supplied with the network analyzer if you need
help with this step.

Network analyzer settings and electrical calibration
1 On the network analyzer make the following settings:
•
Start Frequency: 10 MHz, Stop Frequency: 110 GHz
•
Number of points: 11000
•
IF bandwidth: 2000 Hz
•
Averages: 1
•
RF output power: -15 dBm
2 Select “Stepped sweep - sweep moves in discrete steps”.
3 Calibrate the network analyzer electrically.

Make sure the LCA has been returned to the electrical measurement
mode as described in
Returning to Electrical Measurements
NOTE
Most performance problems are caused by damaged or dirty electrical or
optical connectors.
Before starting the performance verification procedure, make sure all
electrical and optical connectors are in excellent condition.
NOTE
To meet the technical specifications, you must use the calibration kit.
