Option EDC Upgrade
Introduction
Option EDC, External Digitizer Control allows the rear panel Ext IF Output (Ultra-wide bandwidth IF
Output, Option CRW) to be used with an oscilloscope and Keysight VSA measurement software.
This installation note provides instructions for licensing Option EDC on the N9041B. No instructions
are provided on the configuration and use of the oscilloscope and VSA software.
Requirements
— Instrument software revision must be A.21.00 or later
— Option CRW, Ultra-Wide Bandwidth IF Output, must be installed (licensed). All N9041B
instruments ship with the Ext IF Out connector on the rear panel, but Option CRW must be
licensed before the Ext IF Out connector will function.

— Personal computer with internet access and USB port
— USB storage device with > 2 GB free memory

downloaded from:

This option is licensed for one instrument model/serial number combination.
The license key will only install on the designated instrument.
