Option EXM – External Mixing Upgrade
License Key Retrieval and Installation
34.
Follow the instructions on the enclosed License Entitlement Certificate to redeem the new
external mixing license key for the instrument being upgraded.

Once the new license key has been redeemed follow the installation instructions that come
with the license file to install it into the instrument.

Once the license has been installed an acknowledgment of this such as seen in
be expected.

Instrument Software Installation

To ensure that the instrument is able to support this upgrade, update the instrument software
to the latest version. If the instrument software is already the latest version, restart the
instrument and proceed to

Download the latest instrument software version and installation instructions from:
http://www.keysight.com/find/mxe_software

Once the correct software update file has been downloaded proceed with the software
installation by starting at step #4 under the Update Procedure section on page 3 of the
Instrument Software Installation Instructions.

When the instrument software update has completed the instrument will automatically cycle
the power and reboot.
41.
At this point the instrument configuration for the new functionality is complete and the
instrument application should load properly with no error messages being displayed.
The minimum software requirement for this upgrade is A.17.00. However, it is recommended
that the latest software available be installed.
