
1-2. (Optional) Configure phase marker output
If desired you can enable the phase marker output function to define a specific point on a
waveform anywhere from 0 to 360 degrees. The phase marker output signal is sourced through
the digital I/O port. To monitor the phase marker output signal with an oscilloscope, the
N1294A-031 adapter is needed to connect the digital I/O port to the scope’s input using
a BNC cable.
1) Press repeatedly until the
Single View
for Channel 1 is shown in the display.
2) Rotate and press to edit the
Phase marker output status
, and then select to
enable the phase marker output.
3) Rotate and press to edit the
Phase marker output value
and enter
90 degrees
as
shown in the screen capture below.
Note:
The default setting routes the phase marker output signal through digital I/O port 1;
however, the signal port can be changed by sending the instrument an external SCPI command
“[:SOURce]:ARB:<CURRent|VOLTage>:SINusoid:PMARker:SIGNal”
4) If you are not on the top Function menu, press repeatedly until you are back
at the top level
