2.2 Intended use
The product is a system for separating grease out of domestic or commercial wastewater according to EN 1825. Greases
are substances of vegetable origin and/or animal origin, with a density of less than 0.95 g/cm3, which are partially, or com-
pletely insoluble in water. Disposal and maintenance cycles must be complied with for proper operation.
The separators are solely intended for installation under defined conditions, see “Installation and Assembly” chapter, in the
ground (outdoors), or under the floor slab in well ventilated rooms. All water-carrying components of the product must be
installed at frost-free depth (differs depending on region). Only the extension sections supplied with the separator may be
used, and only if the ambient conditions allow. In cases of installation in areas of high ground water levels, the groundwater
pressure must be taken into consideration.
WARNING
The tank of the separator does not have to be accessed for installation or maintenance purposes.
Nonetheless, if it is necessary to access a tank for unforeseen reasons, all the safety measures for entering cham-
bers must be taken (including testing the air to ensure that it is safe, and forced (mechanical) ventilation of the tank
if necessary, safety harnesses, tripod and look-out personnel.)
The stability of the tank is only ensured for its self-weight, transport and the described installation, in accordance with the
intended use (e.g. load class, road construction). Additional loads from single strip footings, or other external actions must be
avoided. If such actions are to be expected, it may be necessary to take special measures.
