7.9 Calculation of the Body Mass Index
You need to know a person’s body height before you can calculate the BMI for that
person.
1. Start balance by pressing .
2. Use to invoke the BMI mode, the kg-display
disappears, the „BMI“ symbol appears.
The most recently entered body height will be shown. The
active digit is flashing.


3. To change, select the digit to be altered by , and the
numerical value by .
4. Confirm input by .
5. Place the person on the center of the weighing plate
the weighing value and the BMI bar graph are displayed.
6. Wait for stability display, keep pressed, the BMI value
of the person will be displayed.
7. Use to switch over the display,
„Weight value „

„BMI value“.

For further messages press repeatedly until the body size entered most
recently flashes (step 2).
At step 5 appears the display, which has been used to conclude the previous
measurement „Weight value„ or „BMI value“ (commutable with ).

Back to weighing mode , unload weighing plate,
press , the „BMI“ symbol extinguishes, the kg-display appears.

Reliable calculation of BMI is restricted to a body height of 100 cm to 200
cm and a weight of >10 kg.

If weighing has to take place under unsteady conditions, you can be
stabilise the display by applying the Hold function.
