4  ATEX marking – meaning of icon 

 

 

  IEX balances meet the requirements of group II, class 2 for devices 

in accordance with Directive 94/9/WE and are marked as - 

 II 2 G

Balance IEX is intended for indoor and outdoor use. However, they should not be 
exposed to chemical vapours, extreme temperatures or extreme humidity. The 
platform balance construction is made of soft alloyed steel and the weighing cells are 
made of aluminium.
