Glossary
This glossary explains the terminology used in this Guide. Since your Entré
uses such new technology, many of the terms used in this Guide have very
specific meanings. Defining them here helps make the instructions and
information more understandable.
Channel:
One piece of entertainment media within a Group. View Channels
from the Guide Screen. For example, in Music mode, one of your Mozart
albums would be a Channel in the “Classical” Group. For more information
about Channels, see “Following is a sample list of Channels for each mode:”
on page 47.
Disc:
A DVD or CD.
Disk:
A computer hard drive.
Entertainment Media:
Any type of media you own and enjoy with Entré.
Entertainment media might be a CD, a DVD, or a radio station.
Group:
A genre, or category, of entertainment media, used to organize your
media on the Guide Screen. A Group contains a list of Channels. For
example, there might be a “Rock” or “Classical” group in the Music mode
listing music Channels (Playlists, CDs, etc.). You can also create custom
Groups. For more information about Groups, see “Groups” on page 46.
Guide Screen:
The Guide Screen allows you to browse and select all of your
entertainment media. For more information about the Guide Screen, see
“Browsing Entertainment Media” on page 47.
High-Capacity Music Storage System:
Entré’s hard drive, where you can
store MP3s, as well as information and cover art for your CDs and DVDs, and
radio stations.
Highlight:
The marker showing your position on the on-screen display. When
a selection is highlighted, it usually changes color from blue to yellow. When
you highlight something, you can then select it in most cases by pressing

Mode:
A mode is a media type, such as movies, music (CDs and MP3s), or
radio. For more information about modes, see “How Do I Switch between
Media Modes?” on page 44.
Options Screen:
The Options Screen allows you to customize your
collections in a particular mode.
