You can record tracks by the group of artists, albums, etc.
The MiniDisc can be played back by selecting the group.
[Operate with the battery charge stand or remote control.]
( ) indicates operations on the remote control.
1. Press the REC button.
2. Select an appropriate recording mode (page 125).
3. Press the MENU button.
4. Select "GrSELECT" by pressing the
or
but-
ton, and then press the ENTER (
) button.
5. Select a group by pressing the
or
button,
and then press the ENTER (
) button.
"GR01", "GR02", "GR03"... or group names if given.
For non-grouped recording, select "Non GROUP".
You can select only “NEW-Gr” or “Non-Gr” with the re-
mote control.
6. Start recording (manual, synchronous).
Group playback

You can play back tracks by the group of artists, albums,
etc. if the MiniDisc is group-recorded.
[Use the remote control or battery charge stand.]
( ) indicates operations on the battery charge stand.
1. Insert a group-recorded MiniDisc.
The unit automatically enters the group mode.
2. Press the
button.
Note:
In the favorite track playback mode and the favorite track
repeat playback mode, these modes are prioritized over
the group mode.
To specify the group:
1. During playback or while in the stop mode, press the
MENU button.
2. Select "GrSELECT" by pressing the
or
but-
ton, and then press the
( ENTER ) button.
3. Press the
( ENTER ) button.

" will flash.
4. Within 5 seconds, select the group by pressing the

button.
To cancel the group mode:
1. While in the stop mode, press the MENU button.
2. Select "SETUP" by pressing the

( ENTER ) button.
3. Select "GROUP" by pressing the

button,
and then press the
( ENTER ) button.
4. Select "GROUPoff" by pressing the
