SERVICE

SERVICE WORK ON THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY AN AUTHORISED PERSON ONLY.

This fireplace should be serviced annually to ensure continued optimum performance and safe operation.

Disconnect the electrical cord from the power supply outlet before servicing the appliance.

•  The coals should be removed from the burner pan and the pan checked for corrosion or damage.  Note that

some light surface corrosion is normal, as is distortion from heat, but any major deep rusting or cracking of

the burner pan which is allowing uncontrolled burning of the gas is cause for replacement of the burner.

Clean all dust and dirt from the fireplace and components.

•  Check the gas circuit for leaks, and the valve for correct smooth operation.  Check the ignition spark is strong

and consistent.

•  Check the pilot for accumulation of dust or dirt.  Clean as required.  Do not attempt to ream or drill out the pilot

injector.  If in doubt, replace it completely.

Check the condition of the mains power cord set and replace if deteriorated or damaged in any way.  The cord

set, and any other electrical components, must be replaced only by original replacement parts supplied by the

manufacturer of the fireplace.

Check the gas connector hose and regulator for signs of deterioration or damage.  Replace if suspect.

Check the flue connections and the cowl on the top of the flue above the roof.

Reassemble the fireplace and check the gas pressure and flue draw.
