Replacing the freezer light bulb
(some models)
1. Unplug refrigerator.
2. Wear gloves as protection against
possible broken glass.
3. Unsnap light cover as shown.
4. Unscrew and replace old bulb with an
appliance bulb of the same wattage.
5. Replace light shield.
6. Remember to plug the refrigerator
back in.
CAUTION
Wear gloves to avoid cuts when replacing
light bulbs.
Vacation and Moving Tips
Short
Vacations
• Leave refrigerator operating during vacations of three weeks or less.
• Use all perishable items from refrigerator compartment.
•
Turn automatic ice maker off and empty ice bucket, even if you will only
be gone for a few days.
Long
Vacations
• Remove all food and ice if you will be gone one month or more.
•
Turn off automatic ice maker and turn water supply valve to closed
position.
• Turning control knobs to “0” on the refrigerator (fresh food) control box
only controls your refrigerator’s cooling system. To turn off power to your
refrigerator you must unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
• Clean interior thoroughly.
• Leave both doors open to prevent odors and mold build-up. Block doors
open if necessary.
Moving
• Remove all food and ice.
• If using handcart, load from side.
• Adjust rollers all the way up to protect them during sliding or moving.
• Pad cabinet exterior to avoid scratching surface.
