Kelvinator Air Conditioning

MODE

To set the horizontal air flow direction (left-right)

Adjust the vertical louver manually using the lever on the left 
or right side of the vertical louver arm (Depending on model). 
Take care not to catch fingers on the fan, horizontal louver or 
to damage the vertical louvers. When the air conditioner is in 
operation and the horizontal louver is in a specific position, 
move the lever at left (or right, depending on model) end of 
the air outlet to the desired position.

•   The 

aim/swing

 button will be disabled when the air 

conditioner is not in operation (including when the 
TIMER ON is set).

•   Do not operate the air conditioner for long periods 

with the air flow direction set downward in cooling or 
dry mode. Otherwise, condensation may occur on the 
surface of the horizontal louver causing moisture to 
drop on to the floor or on furnishings.

•   Do not move the horizontal louver manually. Always 

use the 

aim/swing

 button. If you move this louver 

manually, it may malfunction during operation. If the 
louver malfunctions, stop the air conditioner once and 
restart it.

•   When the air conditioner is started immediately after 

it was stopped, the horizontal louver might not move 
for approximately 10 seconds.

Airflow direction control

•   Adjust the air flow direction properly otherwise, it might 

cause discomfort or cause uneven room temperatures.

•   Adjust the horizontal louver using the remote control.
•   Adjust the vertical louver manually.

To set the vertical air flow (Up-Down) direction

Perform this function while the unit is in operation. 
Keep pressing the aim button on the remote control to 
move the louver to the desired direction. The angle of the 
horizontal louver will adjust by 6 degrees with each press of 
the button.

11  ECO Button:

 

 Press this button to go into the Energy-Saving operating 
mode. Press it again to cancel. This function can only be 
used on COOL and HEAT mode and maintain the most 
comfortable temperature for you.

 

NOTE:  While the unit is running under Economic 

operation mode, it will be cancelled when 
changing the mode or the fan speed.

Indicators on remote control

Note:  All items shown in the figures are for explanation 

purpose only. During the actual operation, only the 
relative functional items are shown on the display 
panel. After installing the batteries for the first time, 
the backlight function is not available.

Displays the ambient room temperature. Under temperature 
setting operation, the temperature can be adjusted in a 
range of 17

Transmission Indicator

This transmission indicator lights when the remote control 
transmits signals to the indoor unit.

ON/OFF display

Displayed by pressing the ON/OFF button. Press the 
ON/OFF button again to remove.

4  CANCEL Button:

 

(a)  If the TIMER ON, TIMER ON OFF or TIMER OFF ON 

feature has been set, pressing the Cancel button will 
override the TIMER program and turn off the unit 
as well.

 

(b)  If only the TIMER OFF feature is set, pressing the 

Cancel button will cancel the timer off setting and 
turn on the unit (when the unit is off).

 

(c)  If no TIMER feature has been set, press the Cancel 

button, and nothing will happen.

5  FOLLOW ME Button (not available for KSV70HRB 
 

and KSV80HRB):

 

 Push this button to initiate the Follow Me feature, 
the remote displays the temperature at its location. 
The remote control will send this signal to the air 
conditioner in 3 minute intervals until you press the 
Follow Me button again. The air conditioner will 
automatically cancel the Follow Me feature if it does 
not receive the signal during any 7 minute interval.

 

NOTE:  The Follow Me feature is not available under 

DRY and FAN mode. Shifting the operating mode 
or turning off the unit will cancel the Follow Me 
feature automatically. The remote control needs 
to be within 8m reach of the indoor unit for the 
Follow Me mode to work appropriately.

6  TURBO Button:

 

 Push this button on COOL mode, the air conditioner 
goes into powerful cooling operation. Push again to 
cancel the TURBO function.

7  Display on/off Button: 
 

 Press this button to turn off the digital display on the 
air conditioner, press it again to activate it. If you keep 
pressing for 2 or more seconds, the indoor unit will 
display the ambient room temperature.

8  TEMP/TIME Button:

setting or to adjust the TIMER (clock time) in a clockwise 
direction. Push the

9  FAN SPEED Button:

 

 Used to select the Fan Speed in four steps- AUTO LOW 
MED or HIGH. Each time the button is pressed, the 
fan speed mode is shifted. The fan speed can not be 
selected under AUTO and DRY mode.

10  SWING Button:

 

 Press this button to change the swing angle of the 
louver. The angle of the horizontal louver will adjust by 
6 degrees with each press of the button. If you keep 
pressing the button for 2 or more seconds, the louver will 
swing up and down automatically.
