perimeter of friction area. Keep clean inner leg’s sliding area, after each ride clean dust or
moisture by soft cloth and lubricate. Use detergent solution and soft brush for outer fork
cleaning. When cleaning take extra care to prevent water reach gap between inner and outer
fork legs. Never use high pressure cleaning devices. Moisture and dirt inside fork have negative
impact on fork operation, dirt inside fork cause higher friction between bushings and inner
fork’s legs which may lead to fork components lifespan shortening.
Keep following instructions to retain perfect fork operation:
•
After each ride clean up inner fork legs, dust seals and gaskets of inner fork legs from dirt
like dust, moisture or mud.
•
After each 25 hours of operation (or after each ride in extreme conditions like mud or wet sand):
1. Lubricate dust seals and gaskets by oil with teflon.
2.
Check all fork screws if they are tight enough.
3. Check any fork parts for damages. If you find any damaged or worn out fork parts replace
them by new original parts. Never ride on bicycle with damaged fork!
•
It is recommended to let special service execute fork inspection (SERVICE 1) after each
50 hours of operation.
•
It is recommended to let special service execute fork inspection (SERVICE 2) after each
100 hours of operation.
SERVICE 1 - recommended service operations: inspection of fork’s function, bushings cleaning
and greasing, remote control cable and hose lubrication, torque parameters checking,
air pressure checking, fork’s condition inspection oriented on legs detrition and fork parts
damages.
SERIVCE 2 - recommended service operations: SERVICE 1 + fork disassembling, all fork parts
cleaning, dust seals and oil wipers lubrication, remote lock out control greasing, air valve
gasket and air pressure checking, torque parameters checking.
WARNING
Use high quality lubricants which content teflon for fork lubrication. Do not use
lubrications which content lithium such lubricants could damage inner fork parts.
It is recommended to visit special cycle service if fork maintenance requires special tool usage.
CARRIER
If your bicycle is not equipped with a carrier and you are assembling it additionally follow these
instructions:
Apply a thin layer of grease on all screw threads. Adjust bottom braces to the size of rear bicycle
wheel when the carrier is equipped with adjustable bottom braces. Keep in mind that the carrier
construction can never touch the rear mudguard mounted to the bicycle. Fasten bottom braces by
screws in particular points to the bicycle frame to let it slightly move. Then adjust length of upper
holder bars to set carrier loading deck in horizontal position. When carrier is set in horizontal
position secure it by screws tightly. Finally fasten all carrier screws by recommended torque
tightening values. Recommended torque tightening values for screws mounting carrier to the
bicycle are 4 Nm per screws holding carrier to the upper part of bicycle frame and 6 Nm per
screws holding carrier to the bottom part of bicycle frame near the rear hub area. Check screws
mounting carrier to the bicycle frame regularly to keep them tighten securely.
Use carrier mounted to your bicycle only for transport of luggage. Luggage loaded on bicycle
change its steering possibilities therefore check always prior to ride how to steer and brake.
Loaded luggage has to be checked for proper fastening to the carrier, for proper balancing of load
and for avoidance of obstructions when pedalling. Make sure to avoid contact of any luggage part
fasten to the carrier with rotating bicycle wheel. Luggage must not cover rear lights or reflectors
mounted to the carrier. Keep in mind that luggage loaded on bicycle change its centre of gravity
when using bicycle stand.
If child seat is mounted to carrier check it prior to each ride for proper and secure fastening. Check
child seat straps to avoid their contact with rotating bicycle wheel before each ride in accordance
with child seat user guide. Inappropriately hanging child seat straps can be caught by rotating
wheel and cause severe injury to child and rider.
The carrier is not designated for transport of animals. Do not carry persons and oversized loads on
bicycle carrier. The carrier is not designated for attaching of any trolleys. Do not modify carrier
construction. Each construction change influence inevitably designed carrier properties.
Do not exceed permissible maximum carrier load of 25 kg. Do not exceed permissible total
weight of the rider plus luggage for this bicycle when luggage is loaded on carrier.
The carrier assembled to this bicycle meets EN14872 requirements.
