PRODUCT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•
Always read the instruction manual carefully before using the backhoe digger.
•
Never put your hands or feet under the machine without first stopping the equipment
and turning off the engine.
•
Never leave the equipment with the engine running. Switch off the engine when you
leave the equipment – even for a short period.
•
Always disengage the machine before performing service or maintenance work.
•
Only the operator may be present in the vicinity of the machine while in operation.
•
Do not use the backhoe digger unless all the guards are correctly fitted.
•
Keep bystanders and animals away from the work area , and always make sure there
is sufficient room for the attachment to swing around.
•
Operate the digger from the cockpit only.
•
Only use the backhoe digger for the work it is intended for.
•
Never excavate in close proximity to the stabilisers. The ground may collapse under
the backhoe digger.
•
Never overload the digger’s and/or towing vehicle’s capacity.
•
When working on slopes, work with the digger pointing uphill and avoid swinging the
digger sideways downhill. Avoid digging on slopes that may cause the digger to tip over.
•
Reduce speed when driving on uneven terrain, on slopes or when swerving to prevent
the towing vehicle from tipping over.
•
Do not adjust the valve settings. Incorrect adjustment can result in damage to the machine
and/or injury.
•
Operators or others should not stand under suspended loads.
•
NEVER permit children and/or inexperienced persons to drive the machine.
•
Never allow anyone to travel on the machine while it is in motion.
•
Never transport goods on the backhoe digger.
•
Never use the machine with defective safety equipment.
•
Switch off the machine and release all pressure in the hydraulic system before leaving
it or during maintenance and service.
•
The backhoe digger must not be parked with a load in the bucket and the bucket
elevated.
•
As the backhoe digger is not equipped with a lighting device, use the backhoe digger
during the day.
•
An SMV sign must be attached to the rig when transporting by road. The maximum speed
in motion is 20 km/h.
•
Always contact the relevant authorities when digging near underground power lines.
Never dig without first having investigated the site thoroughly.
•
Exercise caution when digging near underground power lines.
•
Do not climb on the digger!
•
Only run the engine in a well-ventilated location. Never leave the machine with
the engine running.
•
Never fill the machine with fuel when it is still hot. Wait a few minutes until it has cooled
down before you fill the machine with fuel.
