Introduction
This section contains procedures to verify that the Model 2290-5 meets or exceeds its stated
performance specifications for DC voltage accuracy, DC current accuracy, load regulation, and output
voltage ripple. These procedures do not adjust your instrument. If your instrument fails any of the
performance verification tests, you should contact Keithley Instruments service.
The procedures in this section are intended to be used by qualified service personnel only.
Many of these procedures may expose you to hazardous voltages that could result in
personal injury or death. Do not perform these procedures unless you are qualified to do so.
Use extreme caution when working with hazardous voltages.
Environmental conditions
All verification procedures should be performed at an ambient temperature of 18°C to 28°C, and at a
relative humidity of 70% or less, unless otherwise noted.
Warm-up period
The Model 2290-5 should be turned on and allowed to warm up for at least one hour before
performing the verification procedures. The test equipment should also be allowed to warm up for the
time period recommended by the manufacturer.
