Getting Ready
When the cell phone is in the position that Illustration
1-2 shows, do not operate the CA001 or open/close
the display with force.
To avoid an error, keep your fingers away from the
keys when you are changing the position.
Keep the display facing inside and closed when you
carry the cell phone in your pocket or bag.
The operating procedures in this manual apply when
the cell phone is open and the display is facing inside,
unless the cell phone's position is specified.
To operate in Viewfinder position, press the side keys
(
w(hb)
) and tap the Touch panel.
For more information about how to operate the Touch
panel, see "Using CA001 in Viewfinder position" on
page 17.
By default, the Touch menu appears when you set the
cell phone to Viewfinder position. For more information
about the Touch menu, see "Using the Touch Menu" on
page 20.
Self-portrait Position
Open the display in Illustration 2 of "Viewfinder Position"
(illustrated to the left) to set CA001 to Self-portrait position.
When the cell phone is in Self-portrait position, you can take
a photo with the lens facing toward yourself.

Position of CA001
CA001 can not only be opened with the display facing
inside, but also it can be used in Viewfinder position or Self-
portrait position.
Viewfinder Position
Open the cell phone so that the display stands
at 90 degrees (1-1), and rotate it 180 degrees
clockwise (1-2).
Close the cell phone.
In Illustration 1-1, rotate the display in the directions of
the arrows. Do not try to rotate the display when it is
not in the position that Illustration 1-1 shows, or do not
rotate the display over 180 degrees. Excess pressure
may cause a malfunction.
